On 4 November 2010, at 0157 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), an Airbus A380 aircraft, registered VH-OQA (OQA) turned back to Singapore.The failure of the No 2 engine ejected a number of engine components that struck the aircraft or were liberated overboard.
The airplane operated on Priester Aviation flight 800 from Chicago-Midway Airport, IL (MDW) to Springfield-Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, IL (SPI). The jet suffered a hard landing, which appears to have collapsed landing gear and slid off the runway. A small fire was quickly put out by military staff, both pilots received minor back injuries, and there were no injuries among the four passengers.

Crashed in bad weather on March 18, 1953 near Burgoynes Cove, Newfoundland, Canada. Brigadier General Richard Ellsworth was among the twenty-three airmen killed in the crash.
